Pizzadillas: Building Confidence One Bite at a Time
Confidence doesn't always grow through big accomplishments. Often, it grows through everyday moments, trying something new, making a decision, or realizing, "I can do this."
Summer is the perfect time to give girls more opportunities to build those moments into their day. Inviting them into the kitchen is a simple way to encourage independence, creativity, and healthy habits all at once.
Whether they're choosing toppings, spreading the sauce, or carefully flipping their pizzadilla in the pan, girls are practicing important life skills while having fun. They learn to make choices, solve little problems, and take pride in creating something they can share with their family.
The best part? There's no single "right" way to make a pizzadilla. Each one can be as unique as the girl making it. Encourage your daughter to experiment with colorful vegetables, favorite toppings, or new combinations she hasn't tried before. Giving girls ownership over small decisions helps build confidence that reaches far beyond the kitchen.

Pizzadillas
Ingredients:
Whole wheat tortillas (or any tortillas you have on hand)
Pizza sauce (choose a low-sugar option if possible)
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Toppings of your choice:
Sliced pepperoni
Bell peppers
Mushrooms
Olives
Chopped ham
Or get creative with your family's favorites!
Instructions:
Lay a tortilla flat on a plate.
Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over half of the tortilla.
Sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese and your favorite toppings.
Fold the tortilla in half to create a half-moon shape.
Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat.
Cook for 1–2 minutes on each side, until the tortilla is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Let cool slightly, then slice and enjoy!
Fun Twist
Use cookie cutters to create fun shapes from the tortillas before adding the toppings. Hearts, stars, flowers, or even lightning bolts can make lunchtime feel extra special!
Rise Girl™ Conversation Starter
While you're cooking together, ask your daughter:
What's one new thing you've tried this summer?
What's something you feel more confident doing than you did a year ago?
If you could create your own signature pizzadilla, what would you call it?
Sometimes the most meaningful conversations happen side by side, making lunch together. Those everyday moments help girls feel seen, heard, and confident, and that's something worth building, one meal at a time.
