October Movement Challenge for Students

October Movement Challenge for Students

October 05, 2026•1 min read

School is in full swing. Schedules are busier, assignments are piling up, friendships are shifting, and some days simply feel like a lot.

That makes October a great time to get moving.

The LEVEL UP Challenge gives girls and boys a simple movement activity to try each day. Some may feel easy. Others might challenge their balance, coordination, strength, or focus. There’s no expectation of perfection, just an invitation to move.

Movement Is About More Than Exercise

At Rise Girl™ and Rise Guy™, Movement is one of our Five Foundations because physical activity can be part of supporting overall well-being.

Movement doesn’t always have to mean a workout or playing a sport. It can be stretching between homework assignments, taking a walk after a long school day, dancing to a favorite song, or getting outside for a few minutes.

The important part is helping students experience movement in ways that feel accessible and enjoyable.

Notice How You Feel

This month, encourage your girl or guy to pay attention to more than whether they completed the challenge.

Ask: How did you feel before you moved? How do you feel now?

They may notice more energy. They might feel calmer or more focused. Or they might simply enjoy taking a break and doing something different.

That awareness matters. Over time, students can begin to recognize what helps them feel their best.

Ready to LEVEL UP?

Use the October calendar to complete one movement challenge each day. Miss a day? Just pick it back up tomorrow.

At Rise Girl™ and Rise Guy™, we want girls and boys to discover healthy habits they can actually use in everyday life, and movement is one of them.

Move your body. Notice how you feel. And keep going.
