May Movement Challenge: Workout Bingo!
May has a way of filling up quickly.
Between end-of-year events, testing, and everything else that comes with this season, movement can easily become one more thing that feels hard to fit in. That’s exactly why this month’s challenge is designed to feel flexible, simple, and doable.
Instead of following a set routine, we’re introducing Workout Bingo, a way to keep girls moving while giving them choice and ownership.
Why this matters
What we see with girls is that movement feels very different when it’s something they get to choose, rather than something they have to do.
When girls have autonomy, even in small ways, they’re more likely to stay engaged, try new things, and actually enjoy the experience. And that’s where consistency begins, not from pressure, but from positive connection.
How It Works
The goal is simple:
Complete five exercise challenges in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) to get a BINGO
Each movement can be done for:
5 minutes, or
50 repetitions
Exercises can be split into smaller sets or spread out across the day or week
This isn’t about doing everything perfectly or all at once. It’s about finding small, realistic ways to move your body consistently.

Making it work in real life
Many educators notice that when movement feels overwhelming, it often gets skipped altogether.
This challenge removes that barrier.
You can:
Use it as a quick brain break between lessons
Let students choose their square for the day
Turn it into a group activity or a friendly class challenge
Encourage girls to listen to their energy and pick what feels right
Even just five minutes of movement can shift energy, improve focus, and help girls feel more connected to their bodies.
A simple mindset shift
Instead of asking, “Do I have time for a full workout?”
We can start asking, “Where can I fit in five minutes?”
That small shift changes everything.
Celebrate the wins
Every time you or your class gets a BINGO, we’d love to celebrate with you.
You can:
Email us at [email protected]
Tag us on Instagram @risegirlprogram
(And yes, sharing a photo of your class in action makes it even more fun.)
Each entry goes into a prize drawing at the end of the month, and more importantly, it helps us highlight and celebrate the ways you’re showing up for movement, even during a busy season.
Because movement doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
Sometimes, it just starts with one square.
